Advantages of using the CYCLOVENT VERTICAL BLADE TURBINE
The rotating
turbine action created by a combination of heat stack and wind results
in removal of stale hot through the turbine, being replaced by fresh air
entering the
building from below. This action creates a cooling effect on people with
cleaner
Based on tests undertaken by the
University of Technology in Sydney Australia, for
the same throat size the extraction rate for the vertical blade turbine was
more than
double the amount extracted by an onion shaped turbine, thus requiring a
smaller
number vents to be installed.
At extremely high wind speeds, the
construction of the Cyclovent with the blades
riveted to the top plate and the bottom ring in a rigid box design is far
less likely
to destruct than an equivalent size onion shaped turbine.
