Tuflite® Solid UV Co-extruded
Polycarbonate Sheets
Adding a new
dimension to impact resistant glazing
Tuflite® Solid UV Co-extruded Sheets can be transparent
or translucent, posses excellent weather
resistance due to a UV-protective barrier coating. The product range offers
superb impact strength, is light in weight, can be cold curved and is fire
retardant. The unique properties of Tuflite®
Solid sheets make them the ideal product for a variety of demanding applications. They have
consistently out performed Glass, GRP and other plastics in skylight roofing
& daylight glazing
applications.
Tuflite®
Solid UV Co-extruded Polycarbonate Sheets
Advantages
·
-
250
times more impact resistant than glass and hail resistant. Impact
resistance ensures that there is no risk of breakage during handling,
installation and transportation.
-
Fire
Retardant – Self
Extinguishing material that does not aid flame spread.
-
Easy
to install and fabricate. Cutting to size can be done with
commercially available tools. Further processing by cold line
bending, cold-curving or thermoforming possible
-
Extremely weather–resistant. The permanent UV-protective layer
durably protects the sheets from weather degradation due to the
ultraviolet radiation of the sun.
-
Lighter in weight due lower specific gravity (Roughly half the
weight of glass). Further economy can be achieved by reduction in
weight of supporting structures.

UV Protection
The sheets are produced with a co-extruded UV-protective layer, which is
homogenously fused with the sheet material. This UV-protected side should
always be installed facing towards the sun. This provides the sheets with an
effective UV protection against weathering and carries a warranty for 10
years. |
